To you it’s a word.
To you it may be a feeling.
To me it’s a chapter.
It’s a chapter I wrote.
I wrote it October 4th, 2014.
It’s in my book Hearts and Diners.
I started writing it but,
Midway through I almost stopped.
I almost stopped everything.
I sat on the floor.
I thought of different ways.
Then I tried.
For hours.
I went back and forth on it.
It’s clear and a blur.
I don’t know what brought me back.
But I went back to the computer.
I finished the chapter.
I continued on.
But the title of the chapter:
Anxiety,
Will forever live on in my head.
As that fateful day,
Where the story almost ended.
